In order to delve into this, we are offering a workshop to yoga teachers who teach prenatal and/or postnatal yoga. Prepare to take an in depth look at the following topics:

  • Anatomical differences in the pregnant female
  • How physical changes relate to common Asana
  • Whether to avoid or modify
  • Important modifications with explanations
  • Reasons to consider avoiding certain asana
  • Responsibilities and lessons

On a physical level, this practice helps to reduce tension in the muscles and promote flexibility. On the mental and emotional levels, the memories that may feel 'stuck' in our tense muscles have a chance to release from the body. This practice activates and balances our subtle body energy. It is a wonderful complement to an active yang practice as well as an entry into meditation through focusing on the senses. Once you have experienced more openness and flexibility in the body, we will integrate sitting meditation and breath work to further balance the energy and conclude with several restorative postures to deepen your capacity to let go. Prepare yourself to start the week refreshed and rejuvenated! All levels are welcome.
